Josh Stein is an American lawyer and politician who has been serving as the Attorney General of North Carolina since January 2017. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to his current role, Stein had an extensive career in public service, serving as a state senator in North Carolina and a deputy attorney general for the state. He is known for his work on consumer protection, crime, and environmental issues. Stein graduated from Dartmouth College and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School.
